The Secret To Writing Killer Blog Post in Half The Time

What if I could help you write a blog post in half the time it usually takes you? No, this is not a pitch to buy something or a long winded blog post rehashing the same generic advice that you’ve seen over and over again. You’re way too smart for that, and you need a real solution, and I’m going to give you one because I want you to finally start blogging for your business and reaping the benefits of being able to use content to position yourself as the go-to expert in your industry.

I get it. Blogging isn’t natural by any means. It’s not something learned in school but in the digital age being a writer is a must if you want to attract clients to you instead of chasing them. But don’t worry if writing isn’t your “thang” and you don’t have time to blog and haven’t a clue how to start because I’ve got you covered with a template that will take out the guesswork and even shorten your writing time.

It’s not a sprint it’s a marathon, in other words, it’s not a quick fix.

Let’s be honest blogging isn’t an overnight scheme to get clients lining up at your door. But it will help you get to the point where customers are finding you through your website and submitting inquiries and working with you. If you plan to sell digital products like courses you want to invest the time into growing your blog and audience. It takes time to get there however if you start today just think how much closer you’ll be to having clients coming to you instead of the other way around and selling out of your first digital product (can those things sell out?).

Plus you’ll get all of these other benefits…

  • Capitalizing on Pinterest and it’s 100M active users.
  • Give your brand some “like, know and trust” factor.
  • Opportunity to grab some SEO for Google.
  • Cultivate an audience of leads and prospects for your services or products.

“If you have time to binge watch a season of Gilmore Girls on Netflix you have time to blog.”

Yes, just like you found that extra hour or two to veg out on the couch you can find the extra hour or two to write a blog post. When it comes to doing things we enjoy we somehow discover the time or the money. So ask yourself, do I like writing? Do I really want to blog? If the answer is no, that’s totally fine. You don’t have to blog, and there’s no point in forcing yourself to do it. But if you want to reap the benefits of having content I suggest exploring other forms such as “microcontent,” like Instagram stories, which can boost your brand. My friend Afton as an excellent post on “microcontent.”

Think outside of the boring WordPress box if writing really makes you wanna run and hide.

Blogging doesn’t have to be a lengthy written post it can be an audio ( think podcast), it can be a video (Youtube), it can be visual (infographic).  If writing really makes you wanna chuck your computer at the wall, you can pay to have audio transcribed and then turn the transcription into a blog post.

There are so many ways you can make it work for you if you don’t like to write. But for my friends who like to write…
